I'm going to pick up this little title today after work. Looks like a simple, but yet fun game to play.

So far, I'm loving the Wii.

But yeah, love it! Well worth the $250.

Still waiting to get one.

Had one all lined up, and the owner of the store decided to take his whole stock and put it on EBAY!!! Greedy Bastard :upyours:

I am sure I will get one eventually. What kid friendly (elementary age) and wife friendly (doesn't like video games) titles are best?

Just keep hounding your stores. They are receiving Wii's several times a week until end of year. Knowing which day their shipments come in probably is the real trick.

Foz,

I had the same goal. That's why I have Wii sports, Rayman, and now Elebits. All are very non-gamer friendly. I also have trauma center and that is also easy to learn to play as well, but the subject matter is a bit more mature.

This is a fun game! Fairly extensive tutorials on how to do things in the game. The basics goals for each level are:

capture the elebits to gain watts to turn on electrical objects, which releases special elebits
capture the special elebits to increase power of the gun, which lets you move heavier items

You can pickup anything that is not too heavy for your gun. Sometimes, you have to shake it to dump out the elebits or smash it on the ground to get them out. You can use a push/pull motion to open drawers, cabinets, or to bring objects closer to you or to throw them out of the way. You can use a twisting motion to grab and open a door knob.

With each harder level, you have to do more to find the elebits. You have to gain enough wattage, to turn on something, which releases more elebits that you capture to increase the power of your gun, which then allows you to move heavier items to find more elebits... Some levels are multi-room. Many times, you have to open up drawers, cabinets, and throw things out of them to find the elebits.

There are special items like elebit cookies scattered around. With these, you place on the ground and they'll attract all nearby elebits for 30 seconds. There's also something else that will make all elebits go to sleep. When they are sleeping, they produce the max amount of watts they can make. When they're scared or running away, they don't make as much energy. So there's a strategy on which elebits to capture.

So far pretty fun game!

This morning as I was going to sleep and my wife was leaving for work I told her about Elebits. I believe it has multiplayer, doesn't it? That's the kind of thing she'd have fun with, especially when her friends come over.

We're also excited for Super Monkey Ball- the party games were a lot of fun when other people come over.

Of course, we still gotta find a Wii :wallbash:

It does have multiplayer. Up to 4. 1 person controls the view, the other 3 can only move stuff around to capture the elebits, but they can't move the view.

That must meen it's a co-op vs's mode. (help each other clear the map but the one who kills the most wins)

But for all you dads out there. Elebits/Monkeyball/Wii Sports are the most family oriented games right now.
There's also Raymen and Excite Truck that are just one step up.

Mario Party 8 and Super Smash Brothers Brawl should be out within this next 1/2 year. Look for them!

Yup. 1 player controls the moving of the camera, but everyone can move stuff and can capture elebits, but the one with the highest wattage when time runs out is the winner. So it's like StevenNevets said, it's co-op vs all in one.
