had to post it!!!:D, so far has been one hell of an unpredictable day in football!!! Kc Loses in OT, wish I could have watched that game too! The penalty ridden Pats win, how, I dont know... The Colts lose, which I have seen no views of this game, but I must say, Tennessee is coming on strong, huh!?! ST Louis loses...wow... I have been glued to the TV and now Giants and Cowboys, this is looking to be a great game, be back tonight!!! Unless Seattle makes it interesting!!!
And the Bears win with a QB with a passer rating of 2.8!
God, I hate Grossman.

The Bears will win with Defense and Speacial teams... God, if any team had that D, they would be scary

I think the Colts will still do well in the playoffs... I'd like to see Manning get his Ring this year.
No real hope for my Steelers and Rams doing much this year so I've gotta root for someone this year... I'd like to see a Colts / Bears superbowl this year.

I would actually be happy if Manning didn't get his ring.
They should have won last year. It was supposed to be their year. That terrible call in the playoffs against Pittsburgh can only be explained that way.
I, for one, am tired about hearing how great he is. Without a Super Bowl ring, he just the modern day Dan Marino. With the team they had last year, with the good defence and Eddgerin James, and not winning, what do you expect? I don't care how many yards passing he has, or touchdowns, if doesn't win soon, it just proves my point.
His Isotoner commercials should be coming soon.

That means that by default the best team in the NFL is now:

The colts lost b/c Manning made a couple bad throws...and the recievers keep dropping balls, granted they are getting hit, but they used to always hold on. Also an immprobable 60 yard field goal helped the titans win. I wouldn't say that the pats rolled either, considering they had to comeback to win. The only good thing about the colts loss is now they have to play balls to the wall the rest of the year to get home field advantage. Chargers are right there, but hopefully they stumble with Rivers, but I doubt it. ****ing Vinatiari is sucking balls lately...all those misses in the Pats game, and one today, which would have given the colts a tie and chance in overtime. My honest opinion is that Dungy is holding this team back. Oh well seasons not done yet.

The Pats did roll, Cripes, they got the worst calls ever... I was throwing my hat half way through the game, plus FOX sucks at hosting a game, the damn announcers are too damn busy cleaning their nails to realize that Maloney was out half the game... I was so PO'd... hell, after the first first kick off that Faulk returned, I was like where the hell is Maloney... They didnt say shit until the third quarter, ok so I am pissed at the channel, they sucked, call the game, not what you think...grrr.... better now :D

I have the exact oppistite opinon for Fox and I feel that way about CBS. I think most of the broadcasters are talking idiots, but the one I can't stand the most is Dan Dierdorf.

You should have heard the two bozos Gorro is talking about. I was watching the game and was like "Who the hell are these guys? Fox obviously put in their third stringers for a game they knew would be on no one's radar." I was screaming at the screen when I saw Maroney wasn't in and Gorro's right, the announcers didn't realize it until LATE 3rd quarter. By far the two worst play by play people I have EVER had to listen to.
The Patriots did get some horrendous calls, but they also played down to the Lions. That lack of killer instinct will haunt them in the playoffs.
As for the rest of the teams, it's very very tough to call. I have reasons why everyone won't win, but one team strangely stands out to me as a potential winner because they have nothing completely glaring that disqualifies them.
Here are the contending teams I don't think will win and why:
Indianapolis: I believe they are the best team in football, but they're defense is piss poor. Someone will manage to knotch up 30+ points against them and win on a last second field goal.
San Diego: Almost lost to Oakland for crying out loud. LT is the greatest player in football, but you can't expect him to win you the game 3 times in a row (4 if they don't get the bye) against progressively tougher teams.
Chicago: You cannot win the superbowl by turning the ball over in the playoffs. Rex Grossman...need I say more.
New England: Offensive is too anemic, will stumble against a good D and run into one of those days when their recievers are dropping everything. We miss you Deion Branch.
Seattle: Can't play defense.
Carolina: Too inconsistent.
Denver: Defense wins Superbowls...only when your score is above 0. Cutler and Plummer will not take them to the promised land this year.
Teams that could win:
Dallas: Romo is a big liability, but even when he plays bad he doesn't thow the game away. If the team chemistry can last until the playoffs this will be a dangerous team in a weak conference.
New Orleans: Still a few liabilities on defense, but no gaping holes and Drew Brees is an absolute stud. In a weak NFC they could go on a roll to the superbowl.
Who my money is on right now:
Baltimore: McNair doesn't turn the ball over, they do just enough to win with a defense that is not as good as the 2000 team but still very very good. If they play conservative football, don't turn the ball over and keep doing what they do on defense they can beat anyone. BUT I consider them a very very weak #1 for me right now and they are very beatable, I just feel like they have the fewest glaring holes in their game. If Jamal lewis could lay off the cheeseburgers they would be even better.

Crockd...great analysis. I agree that the SB winner will probably be one of those 8 or 9 teams you mentioned. With Baltimore having a slight edge, although after seeing them struggle against cicncy's D in the passing game, I think they can be beaten. I hate the announcers on both CBS and Fox. But the all time worst is Chris Collinsworth and Bryant Gumble. I like Al Micheals, but I can't stand madden. I don't understand why they are so bad...all they get paid to do all week is get ready for the teams they are calling. News flash it's not the baltimore colts or los angeles rams anymore and hasn't been for years. The best announcers will give you an unbiased call, while most are on some teams or someone's nuts the whole game i.e. Theisman.
