did you install this TS2 client? (here: http://www.goteamspeak.com/downloads.php )
connection ->
connect ->
<rightclick> add server ->
Server Address = 70.84.26.252
Nickname = <your in-game name>
Connect.
i dont think you want to fill in login name, user password, default channel, etc. just server address and nickname are necessary to configure.

I do exactly as you say, and I get message that "couldn't connect to server, server might not be running teamspeak, or no reply from server, maybe server is offline." I got TS to work once a week ago, but I have never gotten it to work again, are there certain times when its online or not? Or I might be totally inept at doing this. (most likely the latter) :wallbash:

The TS server is 99.99% online. There was one time it went down for whatever reason. So I'm betting that you're missing some steps. I'm trying to bribe Drayu to create a nice graphical doc that shows you step by step on how to log into the TS server, set up Push to Talk, and Hot keys for channel switching. But I don't have anything to bribe him with. I tried offering my love and affection, but he's sick of that already. :yaya:

It is online all the time. Do you do a quick connect or connect? If you do quick connect then:
1. put in server IP 70.84.26.252
2. Give yourself an Nickname (NOTHING ELSE!)
3. Hit connect
If you want to connect through the connect screen then:
1. right click in the address area and choose "add server"
2. Give it a name
3. Enter IP on right 70.84.26.252
4. Enter nickname (NOTHING ELSE!)
5. click connect

Yea I do exactly as you say, but yet I still get the same messages. I'm not sure if a firewall might be messing with it or what, but computers tend not to like me :x I know it worked for me once, but I just can't see a difference in what I did that one time, and why it won't work now. Maybe I have the wrong download, I have the teamspeak 2 RC2 for windows if that helps any.
I wish this would work dammnit

this one?
ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/4players/teamspeak.org/releases/ts2_client_rc2_2032.exe
that is the latest build.
Try disabling ALL firewalls (Windows and any other program ones like Norton). You may have to add the ports into you router if you have one. You didn't get banned from TS did you?

That is the correct version of TS that I have, and I turned off my FW, it was a norton one, but no luck still :x. As far as I know I haven't been banned from it since the one time I got it to work, there was no one on it. I don't have a router, but I am using a University connection, which might have an internal firewall, but the tech people tell there isn't one. But then again they are complete idiots 90% of the time so meh.
Well as I mess around with it now, I can recieve the list of servers for all the TS servers, so is WIH's server listed there? If it is what is it's title? Is it something like WarIsHell TS server, or warishellgaming.com TS?
It is definitely something wrong with my side, since I would try to enter a random server with people in it, and get the same "teamspeak isn't running on it" message.
Stupid computers Jesus why can't they just work. :upyours:
The IP is 70.84.26.252 right? But don't you have to specify a port too?

from http://www.goteamspeak.com/faq.php?faq=9
TeamSpeak Client uses random ports from the whole 1024-65535 range for source port and sends to port 8767 (UDP) unless indicated otherwise.
Note:
The TeamSpeak Client doesn't usually require any configuration of routers or firewalls. Do NOT setup your router to do port-forwarding or similar, as this is only needed when running the server.

Yea I've tried messing around with it all day and I can't get it. I guess that I'm doomed to be TS-less :thumbsdown: Would have been nice to have it for Guild Wars too.
I get this message from the log file.

06-05-05 14:15:01,2976,WARNING,All,procedure TDICallBack.execute,"The operation had no effect."
I checked their FAQ and boards and this seems to be a timeout problem I guess but their options for fixing it don't do anything.
What gives here?
