I have these and briefly they are awsome, great for gaming...

Only downfall, which is ussualy a positive, is the resolution...
If you are one of those people who likes low resolutions so you can see text this is not for you.

If you like high resolutions for sharp images this is for you.

Steven, I'm having trouble understanding what you mean

"If you are one of those people who likes low resolutions so you can see text this is not for you.

If you like high resolutions for sharp images this is for you."

Wouldn't a sharp image make text easy to read?

I'm such a tard.

Low resolutions have lower quality, not bad but lower...
However, the text is bigger

Higher resolutions have higher quality, extra sharp...
However, the text is smaller

That's just what I've noticed - pretty sure it's a fact though

the resolution differs on screen size for the most part. in the crt days you could change resolutions, so if you didn't mind a smaller desktop but wanted bigger icons or text you could run say 800x600, but if you wanted more desktop space and didn't mind small text you could run 1600x1200. with LCDs it's a little different because they have a "native resolution" which is what looks best on that lcd panel. you can run lower resolutions, but ymmv on how it'll look, it depends on the panel, some scale better than others.

there are other benefits to having a higher resolution, but that's i believe what steven is referring to. you can of course change text sizes in windows, and just because you have a smaller screen (say a 17" lcd) doesn't mean you'll get bigger text (it has a smaller native resolution, but you lose screen space to put it on as well). a 17" lcd running at 1280x1024 can have small text just like a 20" running at 1600x1200.
