Alright yall i'm buying a 360 this saturday. What i want is the 360 premium with an extra wireless controller and a 2 yr warrenty. This will cost $500 at bestbuy. Anyone have any better suggestions? (I need the warrenty!)

If you have a need for it you might also consider getting the wireless network adapter (USB), it works like a champ and is $99.00

wireless headset kicks ass.
either batteries(AA's) or a battery pack and charger(the quick charge no the P&C), i have two packs and a double charger right now for just one controller, so when i need to switch i just swap out the battery and keep going.
put in a gears of war pre-order while your there.

You def want to get the USB wireless network adapter, unless you plan to run a network cable to it. Then you don't need it.
Warranty - Good plan!

will cost less at circuit city
and they have 24 month extended 24 month warrenty for 80 bucks and 25 month accidental coverage for like 130, so even if it overheated or somehow fell down the stairs you could get a new one

if you havent bought it yet, costco has it for 474 and it comes with a game(forgot which) but i was going to buy it there, so look at costco

premium is $500 core is $400 dollars thats $100 less than the ps3, and the 474 is a premium xbox with hd cables two wireless(maybe one) controllers one game(maybe two) and a hard drive
so if you bought the core system(which doesnt come with a hard drive) then you buy a hard drive, hd cables and wireless controllers (core system has one wired contoller) it would be at least $560 cause the hard drive by itself is $100 and each controller is #30

Unless it is different where you live, Premium is $400 and Core is $300. The $474 at costco comes with 2 controlers, PGR3, and a 1 year warrenty through costco.

I would suggest getting the official warranty from Microsoft. Here is why:
Best Buy claims that you can "just bring it in if it breaks" but if you TRY that or if you read the warranty papers, you actually have to call in to a call center, and if they can't fix it over the phone, they send you a shipping voucher. You pack it up in whatever box you can find. At least, that's how it worked for my original Xbox (and believe me, I walked in with the Xbox in hand, just like those lying salespeople say to do).
With the Microsoft warranty, they send you a correctly sized box with a UPS voucher included. The box is quite secure (I've used TWO of them now!!) so you know there won't be any, "Gee, Mr. Kanos, it looks like this was already pretty beat up!" routines when the 360 gets to the service center.
Not only that, but they are very likely to send you a refurbished unit. If you have a 3rd party warranty, then you are responsible for contacting them and re-assigning the warranty to the new unit. Microsoft does that by themselves. "But wait!" you say "Shouldn't BEST BUY be the ones sending me the refurbished unit? Won't THEY take care of that?" Not if it breaks while it's still under the 90 day warranty! Then Best Buy won't do a damn thing about it!
Also, I don't know if this happens to everybody, but when I had to send my first one in for repair, they extended my warranty another two years. So that was nice too.
Lastly, I chose the Microsoft warranty because they have a vested interest in keeping me playing the 360.
Am I upset that my 360 died twice? Sure as hell I am. But each time the tech guys were really cool and they got my 360 fixed about as fast as I could hope for.
Long note, I know. But if you're gonna pay $60 for the extended warranty, do it with Microsoft.

If you don't know what this is, you should look around your area for one cause it is depicted as heaven for us! BTW its the best warrenty out of all of them! (bestbuy, circuit city, etc.)
