The Wii lookes good. I'm honestly hoping that Sony fails with the PS3, just to make them humble. I don't think they have had a failed product since the Mini-Disk. Unless, you count UMD's.

That 480p is really going to hurt them. If they could have gone 720p then IMO it would have been the best next gen consol hands down. I think they have an advantage in everyway except that it isnt HD. That might screw them big time.

p in the 480,720, or 1080 means progressive, there are also i's which is interlaced. Progressive looks much much better.

While I agree that it would have been better for Nintendo to release it with a stronger HD, that controller is going to revolutionize the console market. Nintendo has always focused on gameplay over graphics (too much so with the gamecube) and so far the game line up for the Wii is looking very strong. Also their launch, in my opinion, will desolate the PS3 launch. This is Sony's third console release and they still are yet to have a strong line of titles for launch with the exception of Resistance: Fall of Man, most are just ports.

I am really excited for the Wii and will be dishing out a lot of money on the 19 of Nov.

I think the Wii's hard drive capacity is going to hurt them as well...

I'm buying a Wii as soon as I'm able. It's decently priced, but more importantly it looks fun as hell. Even better is the ability to play old Nintendo console games on it. I don't care much about hardware capabilities - I don't need another wanna-be computer. I'll take a decent PC over a next-gen console any day.

This system has the new Zelda game on it. So I will be buying it. Everything else is dwarfed in it's shadow.
