You know something big has happened especially if zilong's posts are in proper English.

Our clanmate, Eject, was busted hacking and was banned from the servers. The rest of us at LiT had no clue of this, as it seems to be a very recent change in Eject. WiHAdmin made a post for us on our LiT forum, informing us of this.

Prowler took snapshots of Eject, and the differences are obvious.

There are a few more, but I think they were the best in getting the point across.

These kinds of hacks are known as ESP hacks. They tell you information about the players beyond your normal range of vision or hearing. In this case, the ESP displays colored circles indicating where all players are in sight and beyond visual sight. As you've noted, it shows players that are behind walls as well.


As jwolly said in the thread in the LiT forums, this was quite a kick to the balls for us. As wihadmin said the info would be made public tonight, and Jeff, Filthy, or any other higher echelons of LiT didn't make the post yet, I thought I'd do it.

Hi I didnt make the post because I was on my way in to work. Thanks zilong for taking the initiative. I would like to thank the owners for giving us a heads up before the general public here. This is a blow to the whole community and not just LiT. Many of you have played with Eject for as long as we have, and if you had access to our forums the same general theme was pretty much repeated over and over by jwolly, krunkert, zilong, myself, payne, and filthy. None of us can really believe this is happening, but the evidence clearly says it is. I would like to thank Prowler publically for going with his gut instinct and doing the right thing. There is no excuse for hacking whatsoever and none of the remaining LiT members have even bothered to ask why he did it. (eject)

I want to say something but I dont know how to say it. I want to say that no one in LiT hacks. Though I just typed that sentance it sounds rather stupid now. Im just absolutely flabbergasted and there isnt anything i can really say. Maybe when words come to me Ill find the right thing to say.

That's too bad. Eject was one of the first players here who really got "chatty" with Mother Goose and I and made us feel like we'd found a home here.

Thanks Redy. This really sucks. It's pretty shocking, I was looking at the stats this morning thinking about how much Eject has improved... Based on the number of hours he's logged on the servers, I thought that was the key.

At this point, I'll understand if LiT is under extra scrutiny.

What gets me is why he would submit screenshots so readily when he knew how incriminating they would be.

Being a former member of DHR, I'm disappointed that Eject was hacking. I don't how long it could have been for. I'm sorry about the loss LiT and a loss of a well-known player here on WiH. I think a lot of us already feel betrayed about this.

I don't know what to think, this is to much to take in. Eject was so nice to me and everybody else, I would have never expected him to do something like this, but now I feel like my trust and everybody else's for that matter is violated, after this I don't think I will think the same way about players.

Even though it saddens me, I feel as though it is best that he is gone, we have come to love this server for it's clean, friendly atmosphere, and when a member, whether it be a regular, or just a passer by, is caught cheating, it is necessary for them to be removed. Even though I considered Eject a friend, I cannot pitty him, nor feel sorry for him.

Another young jedi tryin' to make it out in the cs world gets taken in by the dark side. It always hits hardest with the clan mates though, and for LiT I just wanna say stick together, the road ahead could get a little tougher. But I think for the most part, the community still has faith in LiT -- can't let one apple gone bad ruin the rest of the group. He's been cast into swift exile. Though... is exile registered here on the forums? It'd be interesting to see what he has to say for himself.

As major payne said, it is difficult to feel sorry for eject. Just think.. there was a moment when he was surfing the net, looking for cheats. And then that moment of decision came questioning his integrity... and he faltered. :T

Let's try to avoid saying negative things like this. I prefer to remember Eject back in the good old days. I still like him, even though I think he made one of the dumbest choices possible.

Admins were not the only ones to throw out a question mark flag. About 6 weeks ago I noticed that his skill had jumped about 400 points overnight and remained steadily there. I had my own questions since are playing styles are so "very very close." i.e.----rushed alot, used the AK almost exclusively. I could never click on what made the difference.

It is sad when a regular member cheats. Although an LiT member did this Im glad that he was caught, banished, and the hoopla took the server community by storm. With VAC2 on the horizon, this will not be an isolated case. Some folks that we never expect of hacking will soon dissapear. Some people in your own clans as well. When it comes down to trust playing games, its always a gamble. My own list for counterstrike is relatively short for who I have 'absolute' trust in is not cheating. For those curious its:

Pretty short list huh? One's my brother, ones out of respect, ones becoming a friend, and the rest own the server.

I have no comment for this. I am floored that one of us was cheating. This will cause a firestorm for the rest of us.

Well said Krunkert. The firestorm I doubt though, the community has embraced us even though we had a bad apple.


I know I just joined and all, but I have been playing with eject for 6 months or so now, and I never saw this coming...I am just as in awe as the rest of you guys

That was just so you know we are just as confused as the rest of you. Wiladmin and the owners have assured us that the remainder of LiT is not under any suspicion of hacking and we are not to be associated with this lone incident. I thank you, my gamer friends here at warishell for sticking with us. I hope in the future if something like this happens to you, we can be there to give the same support you have shown us.

i really have nothing to add to this. i am saddened that someone i considered a friend has not just betrayed me but the community as a whole. i wish it was an ugly dream we all could wake from but for whatever reason he had, he did it. lets not dwell on this and just move forward.

LiT, as an admin I stand by your clan as part of the WiH community. Thank you for handling this in a mature and adult manner.

He was one of the only guys I ever trusted. Few know this but he was RG for a few days. He was one of our first members. I think he was the 3rd after Raleigh and Pills. I cant belive this. I recruted him because of his stand on hackers. He hated them and even got kick from some other server for yelling at another hacker. This is almost like hearing someone has died.

Why would he send the SS if he knew you would see them. There has to be more to this. I dont pity him. I know you did the right thing in banning him for the time being, but couldnt someone have messed with the pics somhow. I know Kirs comp just got hacked last month and they had free raeign of everything on his machine. Could someone have hacked his comp and messed with the pics. I dont want to stand up for him if he was a hacker but if he was clean and framed then I dont want to loose him either. I wouldnt even think this if it hadnt just happend to Kir witht e hackers cracking his Firewall.

It might just be cus he was the only non admin I know online that I trusted completely. I trust most of you and would stand up for most of you but he is the only one I knew for sure. I go to school with Kir so I use him comp myself also so I know his is clean.

I just want to finish with, I still respect Lit. I wouldnt link this at all to your clan. You guys are great and should not reflect the leadership of the clan or its members in any way. I am sorry for the lose of eject and hope to continue to play with you all.

Let me say that I have the utmost respect for LiT and as the other admins, only see this as an isolated incident. To have such a long time regular at WiH be found hacking is an extreme blow to this community. However, WiH remains strong and continues to grow thanks to other server regulars who play with honor and good ethics.

I won't make any exclusive insinuations as to why he would make such an audacious decision, but if you ask me, it's the desire to be ranked higher, improve stats and to put on a production for all your Friends to see that corner someone to hack. It's unfortunate it happened to him, but you wouldn't believe how many people are susceptable to the same thing.

The only person I trust is Mother Goose. Mostly because he's also my best buddy, but since he only plays when he's over at my house, we can see each other's screens the whole time. If anybody ever questioned either one of us, I could set up a camcorder if ya wanted ;) You'd have to be willing to listen to a lot of swearing, though.

HE probable thought they wouldnt show up, and if he didnt send them then that just shows he was cheating and wanted to hide it. Really he had no choice. Atleast he was man enough to send them and face the wrath of his deed.

What's that? Like put on a show for'em? Or show'em that angle? I agree though, most reg hax0rs are lookin' for the spotlight when they decide to hax. I mean you got your ragers who just cheat to tick people off, and then your nubly cheaters who get rooted out pretty easy, and then you got the career cheaters lookin' to pass it off as skill -- toggler's 'n such. In fact, that's why some servers don't do the rank thing -- "it attracts hax" they say, lol.

Though, that's not what I really wanted to talk about here...

I just wanted to say that in light of all the distrust issues 'n such that I personally trust each and every one of you. None of you have given me any reason to lose faith in your integrity. I hope that each and everyone of you are legit, and I have faith that it is so. :D

Hopefully vac2 will deter cheat developers from making their hax public, or keep'em confined in close knit groups. As it's been said, there'll more than likely be a few disappearances after VAC2 is implemented. :(
