Silent Hill

I am wondering if anyone here has been a fan of or knows anything about this franchise. I have been looking for a good zombie game for PC for years and the closest thing to good I have ever seen is the Ravenholm sequence in HL2. I remembered someone posting the trailer for the fourth installment and saw it was available on PC. I did a search today and noticed that the also released Silent Hill 2 and 3 for this game on PC.

My two questions:
1. Is the original Silent Hill available on PC?

2. What is the game play like on the PC? The trailer did not give a good indication. Does this play like Resident Evil? 3rd person type thing. Is it pretty necessary to have a gaming remote to play?

3. Are the games any good? I know this thing has had a cult following since its inception but just wondering your thoughts.

I only played one of the games, it was back when I was in high school and it was the second one (I think it was the second one) on the xbox. My friends and I would get drunk and play it at night when we didn't feel like doing anything but play videogames and drink. What I remember was that it was fun and scary (at least when you're drunk). A game controller would be almost necessary to play it, thats atleast my opinion. As I said before I know nothing about them on the PC so take what you will from this.

Mad, I don't believe the original was ever published on the PC. You might be able to find it if you got a PS2 and just go to a game store that has used games.

I played 4 on the pc without a remote and it was kinda easy.

I liked two the best, never beat any, but they are scary as ****.
