Looks like the demo is out on Live Marketplace according to Major Nelson. I'm gonna grab it tonite and check it out.

The ‘Need for Speed Carbon’ demo just skidded into the Xbox Live Marketplace. Here is the promotional copy from the dashboard to rev your engine:

‘The Battle for the City is Won in the Canyons. What starts in the city is settled in the canyons as Need for Speed Carbon immerses you in the world’s most dangerous and adrenaline-filled form of street racing. You and your Crew must race in an all-out war for the city, risking everything to take over your rivals’ neighborhoods one block at a time. As the police turn up the heat, the battle ultimately shifts to Carbon Canyon, where territories and reputations can be lost on every perilous curve. With Online racing and the most advanced graphics and car customization tools ever, Need for Speed Carbon is the ultimate next generation racing game.’

This 1 GB demo is not available in the following Xbox Live regions: Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Sinagpore or Taiwan.

I already have this in my cue for PC...the last couple NFS's have been very enjoyable in my mind. Tiger woods 07 and new splinter cell this month as well.

The only gripe I have about the new NFS is that they went back to making it strictly during nighttime... why not make a day/night cycle by now? So many games have that feature already.

I hate that it's always by nite. I guess Carbon isn't for me then.

Tried it didn't like it. This game will not be on my list of games to buy. The driving feel has the cars being to loose and they slide all over the frickin place. I had not opportunity to drive straught flat out to gain any speed. Another game for the people who have good reflexes which is not me.

I think that's the point of this game Knot. Sliding/drifting the cars in races. :)

What ever happened to the good ol' straight out, line'em up and go races? That's what my Camaro is built for, I'd like to get that feel in a game sometimes too, just sliding around everywhere gets boring after a while.

I think this new NFS is catoring too much toward a certain crowd... Most Wanted was nice because it combined many aspects of the past games.
Carbon, unfortunately, does not.

It's like a near-direct spoof of that Fast&Furious Tokyo Drift... but the developers are forgetting about the other people. I'm really beginning to like Midnight Club more and more, think it gave a decent representation.

If that is the intent it definitely isn't my kind of game. I will stick with TDU.
