I got a new mouse but it doesnt work. It works if i move it slow but i cant play CSS like that. Every mouse I tried does that thing were it wont work. The only mouse that ever worked on the comp is the one that just broke. :x Do you guys think it could be a driver problem from the old mouse or what. I cant get any other mouse to work right and it pisses me off :upyours: Can someone come up with some suggestions please. PLEASE HELP. I cant play CSS until it works and that is ****

if multiple mouse have the same trouble either a problem with your drivers which need to be removed or there is a problem with your ps2 port

I tried to remove the drivers and thought i did. I am using usb posts not ps2. The one mouse worked but if I cant get another one to work then i dont ever play CSS again and that would suck. Any other suggestions?
Duct Tape or a Hammer, between the 2 they fix everything.

C'mon guys keep up he is using a usb mouse already.
try going into control panel/system/hardware and remove the drivers that show up for your mouse and then use whatever disc came with your mouse and install the drivers again.

tried that, didnt work. I have tried most of the common stuff like uninstall drivers and reistall and reinstall again but that didnt work. Since it happens with multiple mice using ps2, usb and wirless, I think it is a problem with somthing in my system. I am just not sure what. This is so retarded. Why cant it just work right.

have you tried going to add/remove program to uninstall, then finding the folder in program files and deleting it... then (with your mouse unplugged) reinstall the driver/program that came with the mouse... then plugging the mouse in?
or....
get an updated driver???
or...
umm.... thats all i got..

What do you mean by "doesn't work"? I think that's pretty critical to troubleshooting the issue.
Does the cursor move at all? Move too fast, or too slow? How does moving the mouse slow make it useable (I understand that won't work in CS). Do the mouse buttons work as expected?
Have you tried connecting the mouse on another USB port? Are other USB devices working properly? Depending on the computer, have you updated the USB drivers for your chipset?

another question, do you have it plugged into a usb hub? I noticed that sometimes, such as my printer, cannot not be plugged into a hub, but needs to be directly plugged into a usb port on the machine. and you said it was moving very slowly, right?
edit: could it maybe be a faulty mouse? did you try it on a notehr machine?

I tried all the things you guys suggeted here and tried the mouse on another copm and multiple mice on my comp but nothing worked. The mouse was fine, it was my comp. after trying multiple times i returned the big name brand mice I had bought and got a 3rd party mouse that looks like crap but it works!!! It is wired that logitecd and mircrosoft mice wont work but I go buy the most unusual named mouse I cna find and it works. Go figure. Thanks to all that tried to help but it was a lost cause.
