OMG I cannot get this 16 in 1 media card reader to work worth sh*t. It worked before I formatted my computer and it worked at my moms computer, but now I cant get it to work :wallbash: .

Windows XP
P4 3.0ghz @ 800mhz fsb
1 gb 400mhz RAM
80 and 120 GB 8mb cache HDs

Device manager shows no problems with any device (namely USB), though at the same time it does not show the media card reader as a device, regardless of how many times I install drivers and restart computer:wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:

Device attempting to install: Adaptec AUA-7500A 16 in 1 USB Media card reader

Plz help thnx

I would reload my usb drivers from my mobo driver disk.

is there too much power drain on the usb subsystem for it?

unplug your USB soundcard and try it.

unplug your USB soundcard and try it.

If that dosent work then hit it really hard. Maybe even throw it a few feet or something. That always works for me.

was it plugged in when you installed windows? i had a problem with an internal card reader that was similar, i ended up having to unplug it, install windows, then plug it in afterwards, otherwise it would assign it some random driver and it looked like it wasn't there.

try this. unplug it then go into the device manager. go up under View and click on 'Show hidden devices'. see if anything pops up that might be it and right click uninstall. also right click somewhere on the list and click 'Scan for hardware changes'. after all this, if there's nothing showing up with a ! reattach the device and see if it comes up looking for a driver. if it still doesn't i'd try it on another computer if you have one, just to make sure it's still working.
