Listen up Troopers! Here comes round 2!

IO tips (Infantry Only to the Newbs)

Road to Jalalabad ROUND 2!

US - round 2 is harder to take the Lake flag due to the MEC team being closer to the CP than the US. Using your Spawn trick (see Week One (http://www.warishellgaming.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11960)) have your men try and cap the Lake flag (Futile attempt) but at least distract the Enemy long enough for you to sneak by the flag. I have one of my men (medic) follow me on the left side of the blown out shack on left of the flag if you are facing the Lake from the US uncap. sneak over to the water land bridge that way you can have your med pack out incase you are taking shots. At this time your men usually are dead (which is a fantastic thing!) and are going to be spawning on you by the time you make it to land. Once you do you will have about 4 or 5 enemies trying to catch up with thier team, these guys will start shooting at you, but you just had a couple of your squadies spawn on you, so start bunny hoping or dolphin diving to distract the enemy. (It sounds shitty but it works to keep thier attention on you and your squadies can take them out easily.) Keep moving on the West side from the rock formation to the next blown out shack on the west, usually i toss 2 grenades at this building b/c one or 2 enemies will be there, keep moving! Run to the little ditch infront of the wall but below the 3 trees that snipers like to lay at. I toss my last grenade at that bunch of trees and heal up there. I wait to have a couple more guys spawn on me (1 or 2 total with you) Hop the wall intersection to avoid claymores (hopefully) and scoot to the dumpster for cover. At this point you are free to find your own path to the next flag. This is how I am able to get past the enemy so fast and capture the back flags ASAP to cut the bleed. Use your squad mates to your advantage, have them engage the enemy! If i see a target shooting me, i shoot him first and dont worry about somone running away... distraction works in your favor here, you can help your boys get some easy kills from ppl shooting at you OR you can sneak by ppl because enemy attention is drawn towards your threat squadies.

MEC - I spawn at the Forward flag (Outpost?) and have my men spawn on me when i make it to the middle island on the way to the Lake CP. Cap the flag with your squadies and huck grenades at the hill overlooking the Flag. Press forwards towards the rock formation over the hill and below the US uncap. At this point there are going to be a lot of US enemies at that formation so have 2 Support guys tossing ammo bags in a big pile for your squad. Stay spread out and have health kits on the ground spread around for your squadies. After you take the rock formation, ammo up, and make sure you have more than 1 Health kit made and ready to go in your inventory. Spread out to about 5 meters distance between your squad mates and press up the hill! have your 2 ammo guys in this configuration (M-A-M-SL-A-M, M=Medic, A=Support, SL=You)
so they can throw ammo down for your squad while hurling grenades up the hill. This is the hardest part for the MEC, getting up that big ass hill. If you are able to get to the top 1/3 of the hill, get 3 guys together to press hard on the first rock formation. when you take that, keep the next rock formation at bay with tons of grenades. You also will be able to hit that burning car and sandbag wall from that first smaller rock formation. Press over to the Large rock formation and have each of your men take a spawn point. Once you get dug in, you can really rack up some kills, as there are only 3 spawn points on the side by the trailer. Then you can have your other squadies press over and come from behind on the spawning US uncap. I have made it in there every round playing MEC and the best spawn raping i got was probably 20 kills and no deaths. Eventually they will wipe you out, but by the time they completly clear out the uncap, you as SL are already back on the large hill and they havent made it far enough to hold you off. Once I hear that we have lost a flag, i immediatly stand up and take a death. Spawn in the back and try and get that flag back! For the MEC, its not If the US takes a back flag, its When. Once they take a back flag, youve lost your foot hold and front. Keep as many flags as you can to keep the bleed going.

General Road to jalalabad

Never go from one flag to the next closest flag as a SL! NEVER! Once you regain control of a flag, the enemy will spawn at the closest flag and head straight towards your newly capped flag. I always leap frog flags or go the complete opposite direction. PPL play IO with a one track mind, get the next flag in line. As SL i will make a path close to the next flag in line, so my squadies can press a little on it, this gives the illusion that the enemy has stopped an attack and then they start a counter-attack on the flag that youve taken. When they do get closer to your taken flag, they will meet more of your team that starts spawning there, so you dont have to worry about defense. I keep running towards the leap frogged flag and by the time i get there i already have my squadies with me. Note, always have one man on you incase you run across a claymore or enemy. That way if you go down, they can get you up. Now for instance, I took the Hotel flag. I run close towards the Fountain flag, yet not in danger of meeting an enemy, and have my squadies press on the fountain. Your squadies will lose, just too many guys for them to take out. But when they die, im almost to the Mosque and they can help me turn that flag quicker than sally opens her legs. At this point, i press on the Fountain to have a 2 front attack on the CP. They always lose it. At that point you have reversed the Bleed, or at least halted it. Owning more flags is the key to winning Jalalabad.

Next Week - Tips for Karkand IO.

Until then, keep bunny hoping! J/K!:D

Good guide Stick. I'm not a fan of micromanaging the exact layout of kits on the battlefield but this guide should prove very useful to teamwork newbies in need of training!
