I've enabled the team swapping on Infantry Only server. I'm not sure if I have to reboot for it to take effect or not. Let's see how it goes.

Update: Server crashed promptly after this was enabled. POS feature. I turned it off again. SOrry guys. Was only trying to even out the game play so that the same side doesn't go on a long winning streak.

it swapped me between map loads, and then caused me to be disconnected :p

it will work, you just have to turn it on, and leave it on.

as for the crash, it was becasue of the change while active.

I was coming here to see what was up since it wasn't working...

Too bad :(.. Such good potential, especially on IO where some maps tend to be a bit slanted towards one side...

i've had bad experiances when there was team swapping allowed, i mean this onetime it was 40 V 19 (i was on the 19 side) and it got that way because we were losing a bit in the beginning then some people swtiched then others saw that the other team had more people so they switched so then it was only the people who didn;t reallize how many bad guys there were and people who have good hearts (me!) who stayed on the 19 side....Better to let the server do the swtiching

(if you dont want to be swapped join a squad!)

I thought the crash was from the 6 o'clock (5 cst) reset?

I think we should try the team swapping automatic feature again. As much as I love completely raping the other team as MEC on Jalalalalalalalabad... it might be nice to see how things work on the other side when you know your team is superior. Gives each team that different starting point experience.

I suggest doing the setting late afternoon, reboot the server if you can afterwards and then see if it crashes after the server comes back up. Or has this already been tried?

I'm pretty confidant that this is what wihadmin was saying he was doing, and that it didn't work because it crashed the server.

Nah. I removed the daily 5P CST reboot.

That's why this thread is here. I found out that I don't have to reboot the server to activate this option. However, within 1 round, it crashed a stable server that has been going for the past 3 days w/o a crash. We've tried enabling this option with every new BF2CC release. And it crashed our servers every time w/o fail.
