I dont' know if replacement isthe right word. It is another battlefield series from EA. Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam will both still be sold and played online. So it's not a replacement per say.

why modern combat is on consoles. This game is being devloped by a different part of EA than Nam. Bf 1942 and this game were done by EA Sweden. Nam was done by EA Canada.

vrong my little yellow friend, BATTLEFIELD is done by DICE not ea, ea is a distributer, they make and sell the hard copies for a profit.

DICE is a producer, they make the software, and game.

just like Bungie made halo and halo2, and microsoft distrubited it.
