Shipped my son a copy of HL2/CS. He should get it any day. He's 19 and I think he will pick it up faster than his old man and can come in and cover me.

This is a great way to reach out and touch someone.

It's funny. All the media outlets talk abotu how anti-social gaming and gamers are. But I hardly play anything single-player anymore. My gaming time is either in City of Heroes or here, pretty much.

So you and your sun will play, Jeff and his brother play, and Mother Goose and his brother play. Aren't Pillsbury and somebody else here related?

This could be the start of a whole new ad campaign- imagine it:

Terrorist hides behind a box, frantically trying to punch in the code to activate a bomb...A counter-terrorist runs into the open, drawing the fire of the nervous terrorist...his spraying bullets don't come anywhere near the CT.

Suddenly, a second CT comes out from behind the box and puts a round right through the back of the terrorist's head. The two CTs stand over the body, and one puts his arm around the other- "Nice shot son. Just like I taught you. See how you don't even get any twitching when you do it like that?" "Gee dad! You were right! Killing the enemies of freedom sure is swell!"

Then the narrator's voice comes in- "Counter Strike: Source. Bringing families and friends together for a more cooperative America."

Our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan uses Xbox Live to play games with their family back here in the states. Technology put to good use. :thumbsup:

Playing keeps you young dude.

I play PC, PS2, play volleyball, ride quads (broke my back a year or so ago), sing karaoke with my kids and anything else that sounds fun.

But, I'm an idiot. I called him a him a while ago to see if he got yet and he was having trouble getting it going. I tried to walk him through it, and guess what? Bob didn't know there was a counter strike 1.

I ordered him the old game. :wallbash:

I'll have him fixed up soon though. He knows where we are here though, so maybe somebody with knowledge can help him next go round.

Well I got hooked in CS in Balad AB in Iraq. This game allowed me to keep my sanity for the time that I spent there.

Also my very good friend (Krunkert) plays and he lives in Indiana and I am in New Mexico between CS and SWG this is how we keep in touch.

Anti social I think not, very social we (gamers) are in a wierd way.

Yeah, I'd probably play CS:S with my son as well, but he's 1 and he doesn't help me too much by banging on the keyboard. :)
