Due to lack of players, not so much from our WiH regulars, but just in general, we will be shutting down the Frontline server. While it is an excellent mode, it is very new to the POE2 players. At this point in time, 98% of the player base in the world is playing Conquest. We feel that it is not fair to ask the dedicated WiH regulars where to sit in the Frontline server for hours and hours at a time hoping to populate it.
Perhaps in the future when BF2 1.4 server allows for mixed game mode, we will re-introduce certain Frontline maps to the POE2 server. In the mean time, if you have an itch for Frontline, there are about 40 other Frontline servers out there that's empty and waiting for someone, anyone to play in them.

Shame.... It's a fun mode, if EVERYONE understands the objectives.
Hopefully in the future we will play it again.

why does everyone wana play conquest anyways?
I remember one night i just said "anyone else wana play frontline?" A few people said yes and we went over there. played maybe a map with just 6 people, but then it snow-balled and was full in no time. We even had to jump start conquest yesterday and right now it's only 1/2 full. I dont think it's too big of an obligation for a small group of 4-6 people to start a frontline server. the only time it's a real pain is when you're sitting in there alone.
frontline, i shed an e-tear for you! :bawling:
what are the plans for when the 1.4 patch comes out? (:slap: DOH! i didnt read the last part of your post)

I prefer Frontline myself.
I can't play POE at the moment anyway.
But hopefully, on my return, more players will learn this game style and play it more often.
Just like they should.

All I have to say is damn since I'm not a big fan of the conquest mode.

Like'em both, but I'll miss Frontline, produced a lot of fun games. :icon_frown:

I have no opinion on the game modes but I have noticed the server being empty almost all the time
Sounds like a smart move to me as they already have another Successfull POE server

once 1.4 is released, game modes can be mixed.
Can we have revival for just this long weekend....:yaya:
It's a darn shame, but looking forward to 1.4.
Seeing that it's down, any thoughts about bumping the conquest back up to 64 seeing that it looks a lot more stable?

It's only stable bc it's at 48 players.

I understand the decision although I love Frontline. There are few Frontline servers out there that are full most of the time. I think that's where most of the regular players go and hence the rest stay empty. While a few of us love this mode not everyone knows about it and hence it's got a small enough following to only fill a handful of servers.
Alas maybe a little later on after 1.4 people will start spreading out and catching on to Frontline when they are tired of the Conquest normal mode.

I was thinking does ping of players affect stability also? Would a punkbuster setting to remove players with over 200 average ping help?
