Will we still be playing BF2?

I think this game is my absolute favorite game. I'm wondering if people will still be playing it after 2142 comes out.

The way I see it I have a long, long time before I get board of it.

This is the first on-line game I've played so I have no expereance with this sort of change.

I think we still will, just like people continued 1942 after vietname came out. And just like some of us come back to 1942 to play certain mods and maps. :thumbsup:

Just because the developers kill the game doesn't mean it's dead to all the loyal players. I know I'll break out BF2 when no one is on 2142, unless EA royaly screws up 1.4.:thumbsup:

Well, I for one probably wont be playing BF2 anymore once 2142 comes out. Hell, I still enjoy 1942 and BFV, but don't have time to play both of those, plus quake2, starcraft, diablo 2, and battlefield 2 all at once. Ehh.. warcraft 3 wasn't that fun.

Anyways, 2142 looks like it's going to be a blast, so unless it just straight up is no fun at all, I'll be playing the hell out of it.

But yeah, don't worry, Battlefield 2 is one of those online games that is going to get played for a very, very long time. Don't feel forced to change games if you don't want to. Right now, at any given moment there's usually around 10,000 BF2 players current playing the game, I'm sure a year from now that number will drop to something like 3,000 people, it's a drop, but that's still a large number of people to have actively playing the game at any given moment in time.

I think I will leave bf2 on my computer for the mods, and maybe play vanilla bf2 when I see some reg's on a server....or when 2142 is crap....

I'm sure I'll continue to play BF2 and 2142. But when FH2 comes out, I'll probably play that the most.

I may not come back to BF2 for quite some time but, I will eventually. Especially when some of the mods are out. Like Pirates! Arrrggg!! :lol:

I will be playing BF2 mods for years to come, just like Desert Combat and POE, the game may run dry, but the mods keep it going beyond its years, making it worth the while!

IT will all depend on 2142 if people say it is fun, i will move on if it is gay like it looks like then i will stay with bf2. I do like that you get there dog tags when you knife someone. but thats about it.

I will play in any case far bf2. and perhaps most more cheater and hackers will then play BF 2142
