Here's some more wiiding (reading):

a Q&A:
http://www.usatoday.com/tech/gaming/2006-08-14-nintendo-qa_x.htm
"We will offer online-enabled games that the consumers will not have to pay a subscription fee for. They'll be able to enjoy that right out of the box. The Wii console is going to be Wi-Fi enabled, so essentially, you'll be able to plug it in and go. It won't have hidden fees or costs."

Sonic in SSBB?:
http://www.videogamesblogger.com/2006/08/19/super-smash-bros-brawl-creators-hint-at-sonic-as-the-next-wii-fighter.htm

and a list of Wii's now 28 release titles:

I'm not impressed with the games so much as I am with the number of them (and the number of different developers).

I think I'm going to get a Wii instead of a PS3. I do like the idea of motion based controllers, especially for that Nintendo sports game.

I just watched the video of the dude playing mario. It looked like it could be pretty cool.

The first time i heard about the controller i was like "wtf?!?" but that was my initial reaction to the n64 one aswell and that turned out to be my favourite controller yet.

Its nintendo's innovativeness that makes me like them so much.

Don't forget Wii will support the Game Cube games and Game Cube controllers. Interested in seeing the archieve of downloadable games too, and how much that will cost. Think I'll end up having a lot of Megaman games.

there's a thread on evil avatar with a whole bunch of geeks in it whining about the failure of the wii because the wiimote will wear them out and they can't handle having to move around while playing video games. it's uh, amusing.

Heavens forbid that the fattie gamer has to actually do some exercise while gaming. Might be a good thing for the youth of the world..."Jimmy go outside and do something active" "but mom, with Wii we ARE being active"
