portal login

is it just me or when i go to log in via the portal page, does it not work?

when i log in on the forums page it works fine but the portal page never seems to log me in... it does this at work and on my home computers..

If portal page = Home page, it works for me. Which browser do you use? I'm usinf firefox.

no problems for me either on 2 different computers. I use FireFox on both.

i get the same thing Sir Dig.... i have to log in on the forums page instead of the home page... if i do it from the home page, ill just have to log in again when i go to make a post or to view the w33t forums....

I agree. this problem was happning before but then i clear my cache and cookies it works just fine now:D

been there, done that... still does it. even on other machines i use at other ppls houses... its no biggie, i just go the forums before i log in...

KAAre u using the default skin each time? When u go to other ppl's house's, have you used their pc before to log in?

default or disturbed_x it doesnt matter if i switch or not, i have tried this on several machines for the first time and it always does the same thing.

I had the same problem. The solution that worked for me was you have to have www. in front of the url.

tried all them i am afriad, it is no biggie but sometimes when i have cleared my cache and cookies and such i forget and try to log in on the home page, then i remember and go to the forum to log in, yes i use the default skin, i am not one for changing the default *L*

i usually however stay permanently logged in which luckily does not bugger with the ther v bulletin boards i deal with..

p.s. lemmie know how easy the 3.6 upgrade is, since i have to do it on my board but have a custom skin and a few mods and i wantto know how smooth the transition is, since on phpbb it was a total cluster-feck
