2 maps in next update!

"The next big Counter-Strike release is set to include two maps. The first map will be de_port, previously mentioned here. This map is set in a resupply port for outgoing ships. The gameplay is designed for a balanced layout employing a mix of long sightlines with cover and close quarters fighting environments. The second map will be a completely redone de_inferno, a historical favorite at CS tournaments and competions. We'll be releasing some screenshots or other media from both of these maps in the next week or two."

This means we could take compound out of the rotation! ;)

All I can say is its about time that inferno is redone. Ive been waiting for that map to be released no more of these small crappy ones or the scoutfest known as compound.

Damn, what's w/ all the de_* remakes? I'm getting tired of bombsites...

While a couple of new maps in the rotation are welcomed, I wish Valve would realize there are maps with other objectives, like hostages and VIPs. Just give me a great quality cs_assault, and I'll never criticise you again. :thumbsup:

Ah Compound isn't that bad. Tides is much worse in my opinion. At least if you're getting owned on compound you have a ton of space to roam around in, whereas tides you're tight knit in a small space. Anyway, definitely looking forward to inferno.
