Well it’s a nice computer and all but I could probably build the same thing for the prices you are looking for, but I can only spend so much on a new computer, and the fact that it’s used is something to consider.
You can go on your search for the perfect buyer but if you have troubles the offer is still here - $1,000

This computer is not used and has only been turned on for testing and to install the OS.

Nice Rig, but with the AM2 out and the lowered AMD prices I could build an even better, and more upgradable pc for the same. I understand why you want to and think you can get the price, but unfortunately computers drop in value pretty quickly at first b/c of the new technologies that keep coming out.

To be completely honest, this computer retails for $1,539.92. Im willing to take around 1430. Never been used computer for 100 less than retail and labor is free. Any takers??? Im still exepting offers arounf 1430..

Ebay it, that is your best option.

Ebay it, that is your best option.

yeah i agree. the biggest cost of that system is the cpu, and with all of the price drops on AMD cpus it's going to be hard to get what you paid for that back.

Good luck pills. Ebay is an unforgiving monster sometimes. I would suggest lowering your starting bid to around $750 or $800. That would incourage bids. With a start like that it can be a little intimidating to try. Low starts get people into it and it will go higher. Just put a reserve on it and you wont loose it.

Just out of curiosity, why're you selling a brand new PC?

You might also want to include warranty info for the components to help your sale a bit. I also agree that you should lower the starting a bid and put a reserve on it. Good luck!

Pills, I sell on eBay for a living. your auction will never sell like that. A high starting bid and a reserve is the best 2 ways to keep people from even looking at the specs alone. Put one out there with a starting bid of $9.99 that way you'll attract as many people right off the bat, and they will fight it up in the last hour of the sale. make sure it ends between 9 - 9:30p.m. eastern time so you can cover the whole country it will sell fine if you have a competitive shipping quote.

Nope he's up to $61 today thats barely of fraction of his asking cost on here.

Buckski
09-01-2006, 12:21 PM
You could always get a shill to bid on it to bring the price up--worst case scenario you would have to relist it if the shill won.

vortex19103
09-01-2006, 01:35 PM
If you think that you are going to get screwed because you forgot to put a min bid or sell price of $x,xxx.xx dollars lets say 1200.00 +/- then you will need to create a new account (ie) friend, to bid for a higher price for you, so that you can reset and relist with a min sell price...

good luck,

P.S. Steven, the auction details state, that the cat is not for sale. damn it, I wanted a friend.

jesus Pills, I didnt see this till now. You shill bid on your own computer? If Im reading it right, you pulled it down early to make sure that you were the highest winning bidder? all the bidding action takes place in the last 2 hours of the auction, usually the last five minutes are when it really takes off. I would have been intereted to see how high it would of gone if you would of let it run its course. It might of been for the best though because the auction was written up pretty good, but the description of what you would do if it was damaged in the mail wasnt very reasuring. You could of said you'd file a claim through the carrier at least. You made it sound as if you leave them hanging in the wind if it got damaged.
