Banned from AF.

In game name Deagle3896. I rejoined your AF server after the reset today. Tried to get in a Mec jet (was there first however it was the first jet spawn so i guess thats a free for all) someone got in it infront of me, whatever. Got run over cause i was too slow to get out of the way (had used my stamina jumping like a rabbit to try and get in a jet), guy in the jet got a tk and called me an ass over the global chat.

He crashes shortly thereafter I am again in the hangar first and he gets in front of me and in the jet again, im typing a message to the guy asking him why he cant wait his turn when i get banned by an admin or for exessive team killing.

Sorry if it seemed I was intentionally causing tk's. Personally that behaviour (intentional tk and standing in front to steal) pisses me off when im in a jet so I try not to do it myself.

Won't deny that I was trying to slow him up since he stole the jet from under me twice; however I was going to get out of the way, guy just couldnt wait a second

I would appreciate the admins perspective on what happened.

i banned you. gist of the story is there.

1. when others arent jumping for jets, dont jump into them and push them around, ok. sit on the tarmac and wait for spawn without pushing other people. you did that the whole game up until that point. edit-expounding- if you are jockeying for the aircraft while everyone else is jockeying, that is ok, because its not player abuse. if someone is just standing there nicely waiting, jumping into them and pushing them around is player abuse as defined by owners.

2. after not getting the jet, you griefed.

3. editing number 3, focusing on 1 and 2.

however there is a lie in there. on the griefing part, the actual story is 1. he got the jet, 2. you typed something to the effect of "ok here it comes, or ok something" leading me to believe i should watch you. i turn to see you standing inside the wing waiting to grief. you get run over, then he calls you an ass on ts.

so the griefing was intentional.

so, will be standard 2 week ban for griefing and 2 week ban for not telling the truth.

come back on or after august 25 and will be glad to consider lifting the ban. just post here, ask politely and it will happen.

thanks for your help. btw, i watched you for alot of time. 2 choices, you may politely accept the offer to come back after the 25th or be permenantly banned. this will not become an argument thread. i did not like what i saw last night. i almost kicked/banned you several times before i did.

First and foremost, I accept the ban.

If that is all you need to know then thank you for your time, you do not need to read the rest of my post. If you are feeling generous and would like to read and perhaps respond to the rest of my post I would greatly appreciate it.

I was unaware that jumping is prohibited in your rules. I apologize for that, however I was there first on both ocassions? Surely you can see my reasoning. However, rules are rules. Thank you for clearing that point up.

If you have chat logs (I don't know if BF2 has chat logs) you should see that I didn't even get to say a thing in the chat. When I said he called me an ass I was refering to the chat on Bf2, I wasnt on your teamspeak so I dont know what he said on there.

Lastly, on this point.

i did not like what i saw last night. i almost kicked/banned you several times before i did. If you could you expand on this? I don't recall recieving any warnings. I may have missed them in the chat not paying attention? Im just curious to know what I was doing, perhaps to avoid another banning in the future.

Thanks for your reply, I'll hang out on the msg boards for a couple weeks and be back in there. Ironically, I may never have found these forums if I had never been banned. wish you guys happy gaming.

P.S. all of my comments here are not a chalenge to/of your ruling. I'll serve my time and expect no favors, this is just friendly conversation so I can better understand the WiH community standards and hope to meet them.

first i want to say i appreciate the way you are conducting the matter and i would be glad to respond to these items.

after having people jockeying while others arent, they get pushed off the tarmac and we interpret that as player abuse. we dont care who gets aircraft when (we dont have a wait in line policy), but we dont want people physically pushing others. you can jump up and down all you want, just not on other characters. that has been fairly recently clarified.

everything i am referring to is in chat, not ts(i just realized i said ts in earlier post, sorry...i lied :). the lie part referred to you passing off your dying as not moving fast enough when i felt like it was intentional. all of this is moot as you have now said it was intentional.

i have to give props to you for your approach. i will shorten this by a week, how about posting back on august 18th or after for ban removal.

yes, there is a large part of our community that has made this home after first posting about their bans lol. so welcome home.

Whats up WiH, im back after 3 weeks of serving time in some crappy servers, if you guys could lift the ban thatd be great.
