The desktop thread wasn't the place to continue this conversation so I'll start a new one.

I was thinking Cuda, but should have been Challenger. They may do a Cuda too, I suppose, but this is the car I was thinking of.

I love it. Brings back memories of the good old days when hot rods was hot rods and front wheel drive was just plain silly.

I'm a Ford man, too and would have the Stang first pick.

But I'm really glad to see Detroit going in this direction.

425 hp!

looks nice fairly decent specs, but how does it corner? that has been a big fault with many US cars over the years, straight 1/4 mile nothign can touch them, give them a loopy track and they are finished...

i also vote for thinning out the tires a bit, the wider the tyre the less fun the car is to drive...

I agree, the new charger is ugly.. although the RT looks exceptionally better than the stock version.

I saw the Challenger and the Camaro concepts at the Dallas Auto Show. THe Challenger was nice but I was more impressed with the camaro concept.

ah man thats one of my dream cars, though running it in the UK would be unreal, if they make the one that could be an answer for me.

but back on topic. I like the hard look, nice simple lines and no need to sing and dance about what it is (big spoiler, bodykits, ect)
if it can corner well (would have to be much better then the mustang) i would have one,

Too bad other reborn muscle cars couldnt have been as nice.

Dissapointments.....Malibu, GTO, Charger, Chevelle Concept, and nothing at all about a Firebird on the horizon :(

I wish they'd make the Challenger.

It's time other automakers realized why the Magnum, 300C, and Charger are flying off dealer lots- Americans want WELL BUILT, FUN, FAST cars. Powerful engines and rear-wheel-drive are two great ways to get FUN and FAST. WELL BUILT is just a matter of actually enforcing the engineering standards we all know American cars are capable of (for those who disagree, consider that many, many Japanese cars are already built in the US, so it's not like American workers can't fit two body panels together).

I'd never buy one. I'm a Subaru guy. But I think that the increased variety in the market can't hurt anybody. It's time that the average autobuyer had a choice besides BLAND styling, FRONT-wheel-drive, BORING driving dynamics, etc.

Chrysler is now doing better (in terms of upswinging sales) than GM or Ford because they realized that building what the public wants, not telling it what it wants, is the way to go.

i feel ya there Meat i mean look at the TBird ford did. they tried to make the 2 seater and all and it was a nice concept the end result was just junk. and yes all the other refits that chevy and gm have done have been a bust. the malibu was junk who ever heard of a front wheel drive hot rod. i had a 69 camero that i sold and am still kicking my self in the ass for that. was fun and fast. that new one looks very good to these eye's.
