only 101 here today. SUMMER FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate winter. I even hate the wussie version of winter that texas has. I like sitting in the shade on a hot day or summer nights when the temp is just right for sitting on the stoop and smoking a briar pipe. good ol' cliched southern pass times
try living somewhere were the humidity is 100% with close to or the same amount of heat
Yeah, it's usually pretty humid round these parts, but i imagine it's nothing like living in the southern delta. i wouldnt be too fond of that. Only 36% humidity today, but it's a pretty clear day. heat index of 108, but what the hell does "heat index" mean? is it like the wind chill factor for heat? i dont get it.

Yeah, Houston blows for heat. You can have that sweatshop.
:D
But we are at 100° @ 35% (105 index) and you're only at 94° @ 47% (101 index).

ive lived on both coasts, why do people think oklahoma's heat is dry heat. dry heat is what i felt in tucson. has been muggy/hotter here than i ever felt it on either coast.
i posted before i saw it was bigninja making original post. yeah, ive been running ac nonstop for days. you, me and bob have been getting slapped with hotstick. with ac full blast, it gets to 84 f in the house at 5pm when i get home(poor insulation, older home). did i mention it is hoooot here. not riding my bike right now because i burn my hands and ass on clutch and break handles and black seat....and its way to hot to be wearing leathers.

It's about 96 and 46% humidity in D.C. I moved from Philly and it's only 40% there, I thought it was bad up there... So that's why I have air conditioning. :yaya: I can't wait for winter, until then... house to car, car to office, and backwards (all airconditioned).
As for you Canadian... :slap: That's for it being nice up there, but I agree, the colder the better.

It has been 10-15 degrees hotter than average here in CO. In Denver this means it is always around the upper 90s, lower 100s.
I don't know about where I live, because I sleep during the day and work at night.
However, in my jail, where all we have is a swamp cooler that DOESN'T WORK, it's around 80 very humid degrees every night all night. That plus my Kevlar makes me VERY UNHAPPY.

Well, I'm in "But it's a dry heat!" Tucson. It's like 103*F and 20% humidity, so not so bad. Yesterday was 106*F and I dunno what humidity, but we got 1/2 in of rain. We are in the midst of monsoon season, so there are times when it'll rain for several days in a row and the humidity will be in excess of 80%. Don't think it's happened yet since we're in a drought, but when it does it's like the walls are sweating. :wallbash:

I researched the 106 record a bit, and it seem that it as kind of a wussy record for here. The record for the 18th is like 117 (1954), the 17th, 116 (1954). In fact, all the local records temps for the two weeks surrounding the 20th were in the teens, yet today, the 20th, in the midst of all the hot arse days over time, is a mere 106? Wussy record. It needed broken bad.
