Has anyone watched this series before? The WWII themed series that circled around Easy Company that aired on the History Channel sometime ago. I believe it was on HBO as well considering it was produced by HBO pictures. Anyway, they're replaying the old season on the History channel again; it just started last night. It comes on at 9:00 pm Eastern time, then it airs again at like 1:00 am. They do two episodes a night. I figure I'll watch it again in preperation for DoD: Source if it ever comes out.

Excellent series for the most part. There's 1 or 2 eps in there that's kinda boring.

I liked it enough to order it from Hong Kong, comes with a lot of typos.

Ah, they aired Carentan last night. One of my favorite episodes. It's one of the coolest urban battles depicted in a film in my opinion. You can't deny the machine gunners in the houses getting taken out by a nade a dude just ran up and threw right in the window. Ah man, DoD where are you!? :wallbash:

you haven't seen modren urban have you ?

BHD had some good scenes but was nowhere near the actual.

think walking through a city, on a 1/3 dose of valium(makes you sleepy) and jacked on speed and suffering from paranoia.

Uh, not sure what you're talking about but I did mention that it was some of the best footage caught on film, not suggesting anything real about it. And the only modern urban combat I've 'seen' would be skirmishes of fists in my youth. In WWII soldiers didn't use beta-blockers or tension-suppresors like many soldiers use now anyway.

Nix reminds me of, well... me. alchohol and the whole cabal

BoB is a great series and i love the idea that it all fit together nicely even though each episode had a different writer and director. just watched the whole thing last week.

that episode where Spears runs through the center of town with the German Wehrmacht standing around looking at him is priceless... then he does it again after linking up the two companies.

Ha ha ha. They carried that scene out flawlessly. He runs straight into the shit not even looking back while the guys on tanks look at him in a stupor. The rumor about him giving cigarettes to the German POW's then mowing them down was hilarious too. Rumors are a good way to control your subordinates I suppose.

Something about that series that I find interesting is that Harry Welsh of Easy Company lives right in my hometown of Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania. Last I heard he was a Principal over at a Highschool I pass by nearly every day. That's pretty fackin' sweet. If he's still ticking I'd like to shake his hand.

Man, have u ever tried to talk to the guy. You should ask him how good that movie was, or how real it was.
